Sunday School

God has blessed our church with various gifted Bible teachers in our Sunday School ministry, and we encourage all our members and guests to attend and participate in a Sunday School class. Through this ministry, you will be able to connect with other believers in the church and develop lifelong friendships. Your understanding of Scripture will also grow through the input and discussions of others in a classroom setting, and you will have the opportunity to serve one another as you get to know each other better.

Sunday school classes begin at 9:30 AM every Sunday morning. Our adult classes are organized according to life stages rather than age, and adults are encouraged to visit and join a class of their choice. Youth and children, however, attend classes that are organized according to their grades, and their classes and instruction materials are designed especially for them.

If you are an adult and need help finding a Sunday School class that is right for you, we have friendly volunteer greeters in our Education Building who will be glad to help you. Please feel free to attend as many different classes as you like, and we are confident that the Lord will lead you to a class where you can belong.

FirstKids

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them: for of such is the Kingdom of God.” (Mark 10.14, NKJV) For this reason, our church is serious about reaching children for Christ, and we have many services and activities in our church designed especially for them.

Mrs. Marsha Adkinson, our Children’s Minister, works with a host of loving and supportive volunteers to lead our children to worship the Lord in Children’s Church every Sunday morning. She also leads our children in engaging Bible studies on Wednesday evenings (5:30 PM), and she oversees various activities throughout the year to encourage their spiritual growth, including Vacation Bible School, Summer Camp, Fall Festival, and Fall and Winter retreats.

Your children will not get bored in our children’s ministry, and they will discover that serving Jesus and worshipping Him is lots of fun. They will thrive in a loving and supportive environment, and they want to come back to our services and activities again and again!

Brave Kids

Every first Wednesday of the month, our kids meet in the church library for Brave Kids. During this time, they read a selection from the Brave Books collection. The mission of Brave Books is to develop reading materials that address many of the ideas and issues in our world today that contradict the clear teachings and moral principles of God's Word. As your children participate in this ministry, they will develop a biblical worldview and find answers to many of their questions. We are very excited to offer this educational ministry, and we pray that it will be a blessing to you and your children.

Youth Ministry

If you spend any time around our church at all, you’ll quickly learn that we love our youth. They’re smart, funny, and bold, and they’re bursting with potential. We truly believe that the middle and high school students in our church are world changers in the making.

Mrs. Ashley Boggs, our Youth Minister, seeks to lead our youth to embrace God’s will for their lives. Every Sunday morning, she teaches them the Word of God in Sunday School (9:30 AM), and on Wednesday evenings, she leads them in Bible studies (5:30 PM). In every lesson, she encourages them to ask questions and search for answers in God’s Word. She prays they will listen to God’s voice and respond in obedience. In addition to these regular Bible study opportunities, she also leads various activities, camps, retreats, and service opportunities.

Wednesday Fellowship Dinner

We know its hard for busy families to get away and come to church for midweek services. Therefore, every Wednesday evening, at 5:00 PM, our church family offers a Fellowship Dinner. The hospitality committee prepares a home cooked meal, and we all eat together. Your first meal is free. After that, we ask for a minimal donation of $5 a person, or $10 for a family - no matter its size. You can't beat that deal anywhere in town, and you are sure to make good connections with the members of our church and form lifelong friendships. Don't miss out on this time of fellowship together!

Wednesday Prayer Meeting

Immediately following our Wednesday Fellowship Dinner,  our adults remain in the Fellowship Hall for a time of prayer and Bible study, which begins around 5:30 PM. By participating in these meetings, you will get to know the needs and burdens of our members and their family and friends, and you will be able to pray for one another in an informed and meaningful way. You will also have the opportunity to grow in your understanding of the Word of God through an interactive Bible study with our pastor. We welcome you to join this encouraging time of ministry and fellowship, and we look forward to praying together for the blessings of God.

Mana Ministry

The purpose of Mana ministry is to provide and deliver to homebound and needy families a wholesome fresh cooked meal. This ministry meets every Wednesday morning, and volunteers are always welcome and needed. Some of them come in at 7:30 AM to prepare and cook the food, and others come in at 10:00 AM to deliver. Some even do both. But everybody gets a blessing! If you want to reach out to others in our community and show them the love of Jesus, Mana Ministry might be the place of service for you. Come give it a try! You will enjoy getting to know your brothers and sisters in Christ, and you will be able to encourage many in need.

Operation Christmas Child (OCC)

Every year our church participates in Operation Christmas Child (OCC), which is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse. Through this ministry, we are able to send out hundreds of shoe boxes filled with toys and gospel literature to be delivered to needy children all around the world. Preparations for this ministry are made throughout the year, and the boxes are packed in October and sent out in November. As a mission-minded church, we are very grateful for the work of this ministry, and we look forward to sending out these shoe boxes every year.

Senior Adults

Our senior adults get together for a variety of ministries, activities, and fellowships throughout the year. They are a vibrant and loving part of our church fellowship, and we are very thankful for their support and service in our church. If you are a senior citizen, you will not lack good company and opportunities for service and fellowship. We promise to keep you as busy as you want to be.

Sanctuary Choir

Everyone who enjoys singing praise unto the Lord is welcome to participate in our Sanctuary Choir. You are sure to make friends and enjoy good company as you blend your voices together in praise to the Lord. Choir practice begins at 6:30 PM every Wednesday, immediately following our Prayer Meeting. Come join the choir, and sing a new song unto the Lord with us.
